This may be extended by 2 x 12 month periods. Based on a maximum annual budget of up to 130,000 GBP, the overall budget available for this procurement will be up to 520,000 GBP. This procurement will be based on a daily rate. Matched placements will be called off from the contract as and when required. The following will vary, depending on the Child's Plan; - Short break duration and frequency; placements may be for very short periods. - The commencement of the fostering day. A placement, in most cases will last 24 hours from the start however this may vary, depending on the Child's Plan. - Planned placement endings. The age group of children and young people receiving a service will be between 0-17 years. Short break placements will be matched to each child. North Ayrshire Council may require emergency provision also but this will only be where existing matched child placements are already established. The Service Provider will ensure that the Foster Carer/s understand the Child's Plan and support the Foster Carer to provide care to the child in accordance with the Child's Plan and support the outcomes set out in that Plan..
