The Service will deliver engagement and empowerment activities, information and representation services and connect Young Carers to their communities. It will offer a range of support including one to one, group work, and short breaks and in school support. It will offer training and information and advice and Young Carer Statements. The Service will deliver a full spectrum of preventative approaches and supports to enable Young Carers to achieve their outcomes, have a life similar to that of other young people, ensure their rights are met and to stay healthy, safe, nurtured, included, active achieving and responsible.. To allow for maximum flexibility, it is proposed the contract will be awarded for an initial 3 year period with the option at the Council's sole discretion of up to two periods of extension, the first for up to two years and a further period of up to one year, a maximum extension of up to three years.
