## Summary

Glasgow City Council is currently undertaking a procurement process for the "Winter Maintenance Assistance" project, aimed at ensuring safe access to essential routes during winter months. This contract falls under the services category, specifically related to public services for the local authority in Glasgow, UK. The procurement, conducted through an open procedure, has key dates including a tender deadline on 21st October 2019 and an award decision made shortly thereafter. The framework aims to address the maintenance of roads and access to care homes, with a specific focus on the periods between 31st October to 30th April each year, depending on weather conditions.

This procurement opportunity presents significant potential for growth, particularly for SMEs in the construction and maintenance sectors. Companies with capabilities in snow clearance, road maintenance, and emergency service access will find suitable chances to participate. Given the nature of the work and the required qualifications, businesses should prepare to meet financial and insurance criteria stipulated by Glasgow City Council. Participating in this tender could help small and medium-sized enterprises expand their service offerings while ensuring community safety during adverse weather conditions.
