These works are required to ensure compliance with the Scottish Government requirements to install at least one smoke alarm, in the principal habitable room (normally the lounge / living room) and in circulation spaces such as hallways and landings, and at least one heat alarm in the kitchen, all interconnected. The Associations smoke/heat detection systems shall comply with BS 5446: Part 1:2000 and BS 5839-6:2013 LD2 Grade D / Grade F standard as specified below and be installed to the latest Regulations for Electrical Installations (18th Edition 2018) issued by the Institution of Electrical Engineers and all amendments and supplements made on or before date, and the Supply Authority's Statutory Requirements.
