Lot 1

The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 introduces new rights for unpaid carers and new duties for local councils and the NHS to provide support to carers. NHS Highland, along with its partners in the Carers Improvement Group, is reviewing its current contractual arrangements for the provision of services to unpaid carers to ensure that it meets the new statutory duties, which include: - Provision of information and advice for carers; - Preparing Adult Carer Support Plans; and - Development of a Short Breaks Bureau. An open event is being held on 7th October 2019, in Inverness to discuss the carer services being considered and possible service delivery models. Places at the event must be pre-booked. If you are interested in attending, please email kayleigh.cruickshank@nhs.net to reserve a place. Please note that this Prior Information Notice is not an invitation to tender, nor is it a formal stage in a procurement process. It is being used as a means to determine market availability.
