## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is conducting a procurement process titled "Life Sciences Research Consumables" within the education and medical research sectors. This process is currently at the award stage, with a contract value of £2,053,175, covering purchases made from 1 August 2020 to 31 October 2020. The procurement, initiated via a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), employs a selective method and allows suppliers to join at any time, creating ongoing opportunities for participation in supplies of life science research consumables. The initiation of this DPS occurred in November 2019, with the main submission period having ended on 16 December 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and larger suppliers within the life sciences industry. Businesses offering products such as antibodies, biochemical reagents, and various consumables related to cell culture and molecular biology would be particularly well-suited to compete. Additionally, suppliers that can demonstrate compliance with specified technical and financial criteria are encouraged to engage, as the DPS framework provides a continual pathway for successful suppliers to participate in future call-offs.
