Given the nature of the services required, businesses with a solid track record in healthcare delivery and patient management will have a competitive advantage. ## Notice A GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER TO PROVIDE PRIMARY MEDICAL SERVICES UNDER A STANDARD GMS CONTRACT FOR PATIENTS REGISTERED WITH COLONSAY SURGERY ### Lot Information Lot 1 The Provider will provide the full range of General Medical Services during the agreed period of Out of Hours (OOH) service. This may include self referrals and those referred to the PCEC via NHS 24 and home visits as requested by NHS 24. NHS 24 will perform the majority of telephone triage for Out of Hours patients; however the practitioners will provide additional telephone triage and advice calls as required, consultation and appropriate management of patients contacting the service directly. Within the established parameters of Primary and Emergency Care, the Provider will support and direct where necessary other professionals, e.g. nursing staff, as required. The Provider will be required to keep accurate records of all patient contacts utilising electronic data recording and audit systems. This will include the use of the Out of Hours patient management systems, Adastra and any other processes plus any other system developed in the future. The Provider will comply with the Boards requirements in terms of the protocols, documentation, clinical governance, audit activity, significant event analysis, training and research, patient complaints and patient feedback.
