## Summary

The NHS Lothian is actively seeking proposals for the "Welfare Service at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children Edinburgh". This tender falls under the health services industry category, with the primary objective of delivering welfare advice to families in need due to their child's medical condition. The procurement method is Open Procedure, and the tender period ended on 2nd December 2019. The contract, signed on 18th December 2019, is valued at £95,000, and although service delivery is based in Edinburgh, it serves families throughout Scotland.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on health and social care, particularly those that specialise in welfare advice and family support services. Companies with experience in providing services to vulnerable populations will be well-suited to compete, especially those who can demonstrate compliance with specific criteria such as full Disclosure Checks and adherence to child protection policies. The successful delivery of this project could enable businesses to expand their footprint in the public sector, particularly within NHS frameworks across Scotland.
