VALUE HAS INCREASED DUE TO THE UNIVERSITY WISHES TO HIRE THE ENTIRE EICC. ANOTHER PARTY WAS INTERESTED IN HIRING THE OTHER HALF OF THE CONFERENCE CENTRE. THE UNIVERSITY HAS SINCE DECIDED TO HIRE THE FULL EICC. This notice reflects the additional value charged.

Award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition in the Official Journal of the European Union Justification for selected award procedure: The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive Explanation The University of Edinburgh has recently become formally involved in this international collaboration. In order to secure the conference dates at the chosen venue we are required to sign contracts by 31st May at the latest. As such we wish to progress under Regulation 33 [8] of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulation 2016 based on the following justification: where (but only if it is strictly necessary) for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authority, the authority considers it must proceed to award a contract without delay.
