Scottish Canals has more than 100 properties in the area including canal customer toilet/shower facilities, offices, retail units, visitor centres, residential buildings, workshops. ### Lot Information Lot 1 ALIenergy currently has funding from ERDF Interreg (Atlantic Area) for the GeoAtlantic project (http://geoatlantic.eu/?lang=en ), which seeks to encourage the development of geothermal and ground/water source energy in the Atlantic Area - https://www.atlanticarea.eu/page/2 As part of this project ALIenergy is working with Scottish Canals to investigate the potential for ground or water source heating systems across part of their estate. This PIN is to provide prior notification and invite responses of interest (with no obligation) for a forthcoming tendering exercise expected in early 2020 for feasibility and design work, including estimated costings and financial projections, for ground or water source heat pump systems for use in buildings owned by Scottish Canals, many of which are situated adjacent to canal waterways.
