## Summary

The Argyll, Lomond and the Islands Energy Agency (ALIenergy) is initiating a procurement process for the feasibility and design of ground source or water source heat pump systems. This procurement falls within the environmental protection industry category and is located in Scotland, specifically targeting areas such as Glasgow, Bowling near Dumbarton, and Ardrishaig. The procurement stage is currently in the planning phase, with responses of interest to be submitted by 10 January 2020. The estimated budget for this project is £50,000 and it is conducted under a tendering process expected to formally commence in early 2020.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in renewable energy, environmental services, and energy efficiency solutions. Companies that specialise in geothermal energy systems, engineering design, or those with experience working in public sector projects will find this procurement particularly relevant. Engaging with this tender could enable businesses to contribute to sustainable energy initiatives and potentially expand their market presence within the growing sector of renewable energy solutions in Scotland.

## Notice

This PIN provides prior notification and invites responses of interest (with no obligation) for a forthcoming tender expected in early 2020 for feasibility and design work, including estimated costings and financial projections, for ground or water source heat pump systems for buildings owned by Scottish Canals, many of which are situated adjacent to canal waterways. Initially focus is on 3 locations: Glasgow, Bowling near Dumbarton, Ardrishaig. The study will also include a detailed overview of the potential for ground or water source heating systems across all Scottish Canals buildings within the defined Interreg Atlantic Area of Scotland (https://www.atlanticarea.eu/page/2 ), with a view to potentially extending or replicating the results to Scottish Canals buildings across the rest of Scotland. Scottish Canals has more than 100 properties in the area including canal customer toilet/shower facilities, offices, retail units, visitor centres, residential buildings, workshops.

### Lot Information
