## Summary

The procurement process initiated by Scotland Excel is focused on the provision of Electric Vehicle Charge Points, aligning with the Scottish Government's targets to phase out new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2032. This framework aims to support all 32 Scottish local authorities in supplying, delivering, and installing electric vehicle charge points, with related works expected to be scheduled across various locations within Scotland. The tender is currently in the planning stage, with potential meetings set to discuss the upcoming framework and its components. Interested parties must contact Scotland Excel before the future notice date on 1st June 2020 to secure a meeting slot.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for companies specialising in the supply, installation, and maintenance of electric vehicle infrastructure. Firms in the construction, electrical, and environmental sectors, particularly those with experience in public works and collaborative procurement frameworks, would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, Scottish SMEs and third-sector organisations are encouraged to engage with Scotland Excel for support and insights into the tendering process, which can be pivotal in enhancing their capacity to secure public sector contracts.

## Notice

The Scottish Government have set targets to phase out the need for new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2032. This includes phasing out the need for all new petrol and diesel vehicles in Scotland's public sector fleet by 2030, and more pressingly phasing out the need for all new petrol and diesel cars from the public sector fleet by 2025. In order to support these targets, the Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles will have to increase across all local authority areas in Scotland. As Scotland Excel already carry out collaborative procurement exercises on behalf of the 32 Scottish local authorities, we are ideally placed to support all 32 Scottish local authorities by developing a framework that will enable them to attain a range of works and services, with regards to the supply, delivery and installation of Electric Vehicle Charge Points. The scope is expected to include the supply, delivery and installation of EV Charge Points. Scotland Excel are also considering options for including supply only, install only or maintenance of EV Charge Points. However, please note at this stage, the scope of the framework and its lots have yet to be determined and therefore may change from those stated in this notice.
