This arrangement is being set up as a framework agreement which will allow other NHS Scotland Health Boards to utilise if they so choose.

Lot 1

NHS Lothian wishes to contract with a supplier to provide a Critical Care Information System to be implemented across three Hospital sites in the Health Board area. In a modern Critical Care Information System it is therefore essential that the Heath Board have an electronic solution that: - provides accurate recording of clinical monitoring to insure early recognition of changes to a patient's condition - accurately collects data for audit purpose - includes electronic drug record designed for a critical care environment to reduce drug errors - provides a system that prompts us to follow clinical bundles when treating patients - presents clinical data to the user effectively so that a correct treatment plan can be formulated efficiently - allows accurate clinical handovers of our complex patients to occur - can be used in both ICU and HDU patients. The successful supplier will be expected to provide the software, implement and support the system plus provide training to users of the system. The system must be supported for a minimum of seven years from the project completion date. This agreement is being set up as a framework agreement which will allow other NHS Scotland Health Boards to utilise if they so choose.. The estimate for the contract value of this framework is to take into account possible usage by other Health Boards. The Framework agreement will run for four years within that time any interested NHS Health Board can call off a contract. Call off contracts will run for an initial term of seven years and can be extended by three years at the end of the initial term.
