The aim of CCWEL is to provide a cycle route for less confident cyclists and those who may be concerned about cycling in busy traffic. The route will be mostly segregated from traffic and run along key streets including Roseburn Terrace, West Coates, Haymarket Terrace, Melville Street, George Street and York Place. It will link planned cycle facilities on Leith Walk with the off-road path network at Roseburn.
