NHS Scotland Health Boards ("Participating Authorities") have a requirement to produce pre-acceptance audits (PAA) on all sites which will be serviced by the NP805/19 Healthcare Waste Management Services framework agreement, including the sites of the independent contractors to the Participating Authorities. Participating Authorities are keen to progress with contracts under the framework agreement as soon as possible and in order to do this they need to commence PAAs in line with an agreed plan which allows all Participating Authorities to transition to the new contract arrangements in a timely manner. The transition plan is based on a percentage of identified high-risk hospitals areas being audited prior to commencement of contract and all other areas being audited in line with the start date for that Participating Authority. In order to meet the initial PAA requirement but more importantly to ensure that Participating Authorities have a greater understanding of the process
