## Summary

APUC Limited is overseeing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Lasers and Associated Equipment, aimed at procuring laser equipment for Scotland’s universities and colleges. This tender, which is currently in the active stage, is set to remain open for new suppliers to join throughout its validity. The main procurement method is selective, and the deadline for submissions is 27 April 2020. The estimated total value of this procurement is £23,000,000 and it encompasses various laser types, consumables, accessories, and maintenance services necessary for educational institutions.

This tender presents significant opportunities for both large and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in the laser technology sector. Companies offering products such as femtosecond lasers, optical diagnostic equipment, and maintenance services can effectively compete for these contracts. The flexible nature of the DPS allows numerous suppliers to join, which enhances the potential for business expansion within the higher education market in Scotland.

## Notice

APUC is seeking to invite Contractor(s) in a Dynamic Purchasing System which will be used to procure Laser equipment for Scotland's Universities and Colleges, including any ancillary products and services such as consumables, accessories and maintenance Agreements. There is no limit imposed on the number of suppliers that may join a Dynamic Purchasing System. The Dynamic Purchasing System will remain open to new applicants during its period of validity. The Authority will evaluate these contractors' requests within 10 working days of receipt; this may be extended to 15 days if justified. The setting up of the Dynamic Purchasing System involves the initial process to join the Dynamic Purchasing System i.e. application using PCS-T and completion of an ESPD. The second stage will happen once the Dynamic Purchasing System is established and Institutions start awarding contracts to suppliers via mini competition exclusively.
