Lot 1

The National Library of Scotland currently operates 2 telephony systems, one a Siemens ISDX and the other a Mitel VOIP system. There are approximately 400 desk phones between the two systems about 15% of which are part of the Mitel system. The two systems are connected to allow internal calls and routing of calls. These two systems support 4 sites (3 in Edinburgh and 1 in Glasgow). Due to the age of the ISDX system and the cost of maintaining these two systems it has been decided to replace the systems with a single platform.
