## Notice

The AFRC require a consultant to support the commissioning, installation and testing of equipment as part of the AFRC Future Forge Project. The consultant shall be appointed to mitigate the technical risk of the project. The appointed consultant needs to have extensive experience in press installation and commissioning, in addition to significant experience in manufacturing processes in the field of forging including open die, closed die and isothermal forging. The commissioning includes a number of pieces of equipment which will be installed, commissioned and tested. This includes a press, manipulator, vacuum chamber and gas furnace.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

This tender will create a single appointment of a Consultant to work with the AFRC. The consultant is required to provide specialist knowledge and advice to support the installation, commissioning and testing until the project is complete. The consultancy is anticipated to start from 6th April 2020 last until the end of 2020. The commissioning includes a number of pieces of equipment which will be installed, commissioned and tested. This includes a press, manipulator, vacuum chamber and gas furnace. In order to mitigate the technical risk of the project, The University requires to seek a consultant who has extensive experience in hydraulic presses and open/closed die forging, who can provide specialist knowledge and advice to the AFRC for the equipment installation, commissioning and testing until the project is complete. The required consultant needs to have extensive experience in press installation and commissioning, in addition to significant experience in manufacturing processes in the field of forging including open die, closed die and isothermal forging.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the Successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of supplies or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at it's sole discretion exercise this option.
