## Summary

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service has completed a tender process for the procurement of additional SAN storage capacity, which is crucial for their Windows Virtual Server and VMWare Horizon View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure systems. This procurement falls within the goods category and is part of an open procedure. The award was formally made on 13 March 2020, after a competitive process that provided suppliers the opportunity to respond to the requirements laid out by the contracting authority. The procurement was facilitated under the HealthTrust Europe ICT Solutions 2019 framework, with the contract value amounting to £295,314. The primary location for the procurement is within the UK, specifically Edinburgh.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT infrastructure, particularly those offering storage solutions and related services. Given that only one bid was received, businesses could find a more favourable competitive environment by participating in future tenders under similar frameworks. Suppliers that can provide innovative storage solutions or additional capabilities compatible with Pure Storage technology would be particularly well-suited to respond to such tenders. The focus on expanding data storage capacity highlights the ongoing demand for robust IT solutions within the public sector, providing a clear pathway for growth for firms in this industry.

## Notice

COPFS procured a Pure Storage SAN solution in November 2018 which is currently used for the COPFS Windows Virtual Server Estate and VMWare Horizon View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure estate. COPFS two main datacentres each currently host a Pure Storage X20r2 array each containing a 38TB data pack. COPFS are seeking to procure additional capacity/capabilities for our existing Pure Storage arrays that allow COPFS to conduct future migration of our Case management systems to these arrays during 2020/21 and provide increased capacity for minimum of 3 years of expected growth in workload.

### Lot Information
