## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority, located in Glasgow, has completed the procurement process for the "Provision of ad-hoc Cleaning and Janitorial Services" primarily due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak. This limited tender process, which did not include prior publication of competition, involved awarding a contract valued at £372,119.64 to Churchill Contract Services Ltd. The services are intended to augment existing cleaning capacities across various locations in Scotland, with the contract signed on 20th April 2020, falling under extreme urgency provisions outlined in the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses in the cleaning and facilities management sector, especially those with the resources to deploy mobile teams and reactive cleaning operatives. Companies that are equipped to meet the demands for immediate and flexible cleaning services across a range of urban and rural locations in Scotland would be well-positioned to compete in future contracts of this nature. Notably, the procurement process highlights the need for responsiveness and capacity in the face of urgent public health requirements.
