Emergency Supply of Surgical Face Masks during April 2020. The Council's contracted suppliers are unable to meet delivery requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic and as a direct result the Council had no option but to source equipment from another supplier in the marketplace to meet exceptional and time critical demand. The items being purchased comply and meet the BS standards. The Award Criteria and the price and quality weightings do not apply when publishing the cumulative spend with this supplier incurred by Scottish Borders Council during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council has used it's emergency powers when contracted suppliers were unable to meet our requirements to purchase essential PPE from this supplier.
