## Summary

QED Naval Ltd, based in Edinburgh, is conducting a tender for the supply and delivery of three tidal turbines to be used at their Subhub tidal platform. The turbines, which are designed for installation at a tidal test site within UK mainland waters, should have power ratings between 50 kW and 150 kW and come in two specified diameter sizes. This procurement process, classified under goods, follows a selective method known as competitive procedure with negotiation and is currently in the active phase with a submission deadline of 1 June 2020 as part of the Tiger project, scheduled for completion by 31 March 2023.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in tidal energy solutions, particularly those specialising in manufacturing and delivering renewable power generation equipment. Suppliers with expertise in turbine technology, marine energy systems, and project integration services are encouraged to participate. The procurement is ideal for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand their footprint in the renewable energy sector, as it requires innovative proposals that can deliver additional value beyond standard offerings.
