## Notice

This Prior Information Notice (PIN) relates to a requirement for the supply and delivery of IN100 material to the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC). The Supplier must provide a high temperature material for the manufacture of an isothermal die stack capable of operating within an isothermal forging vacuum chamber at a temperature of 12000C and loads of up to 2000 tons. The material required is IN100, which needs to take temperature up to 500 0C.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The material required by the University of Strathclyde is IN100. This material must be able to take temperatures up to 500 0C. The required material size is: 2 of D420mm (approximate) x 170mm, which will allow the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) to machine the parts to D400mm x 150mm. The material must be in the cast and homogenisation condition. The casting and homogenisation process must be conducted under vacuum condition. Vacuum Arc Re-melting (VAR) will be considered. The grain number must be 0-6 as per ASTM E112. The final material must be inspected with Ultrasonic testing. There must be no presence of cracks and surface defects. The material property certificate and inspection certificate must be provided from the IN100. The material must be delivered to the AFRC in Inchinnan.
