## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is conducting a public procurement contract for the "Climate Change Behaviours Study - In the recovery from the Covid-19 Pandemic", aimed at examining how behaviours impacting climate change are shifting post-COVID-19. The procurement process is at the Award stage, with the contract awarded on 19th June 2020, worth £60,000. This project falls under the services category within the education and medical research sectors, and is located in Edinburgh, UK. The initial tender submission period ended on 8th June 2020, and the overall process is governed by an open procedure format.

This tender provides a growth opportunity particularly for research and consultancy firms specialising in environmental studies, behavioural analysis, and social sciences. Businesses that understand climate change issues and can conduct comprehensive studies, with the capacity to interpret data and provide impactful insights, would be well-positioned to compete for such contracts. Additionally, organisations that are adept at working with public sector clients, and that hold the necessary insurances and financial standings, may find this procurement process advantageous for their expansion in the public sector market.

## Notice

ClimateXChange wishes to commission a study of how behaviours with a positive or negative impact on climate change mitigation and/or adaptation are changing following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

ClimateXChange wishes to commission a study of how behaviours with a positive or negative impact on climate change mitigation and/or adaptation are changing following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study will help us respond to that advice by better understanding how behaviours are changing, exploring people's attitudes towards the behaviour changes they have experienced, and analysing the factors influencing whether these changes are sustained after government restrictions are eased. These insights will help inform the Scottish Government's approach to leading the shift towards positive climate change behaviours in both the recovery from the pandemic and ongoing work to respond to the global climate emergency.
