## Summary

East Lothian Council is initiating a procurement process for Community Link Worker Services in East Lothian, with the aim to establish a framework of service providers. This initiative is in response to social distancing measures arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and will focus on addressing health inequalities through a social prescribing approach. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a planned future notice date set for 21st July 2020, and the anticipated release of framework documents on the PCS-Tenders portal by the end of July 2020. The services will be provided across several areas including Musselburgh, Fa'side, and North Berwick Coastal.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specializing in health and social care services, particularly for those equipped to deliver remote support solutions. Companies adept in community health initiatives and social prescribing are encouraged to participate, especially those capable of responding swiftly to evolving guidelines during the pandemic. The flexibility to adapt services as community needs change will be crucial, and successful providers may be awarded contracts for an initial one-year term, with the possibility of a one-year extension. This framework would enable businesses to enhance their capabilities and expand their service offerings within the public health sector in East Lothian.
