## Summary

Transport Scotland has recently completed a tender for the Integrated Roads Information System (IRIS), which includes Road Condition Surveys. This contract, now finalised as of June 16, 2020, extends for an additional 12 months, set to continue until November 2021. The procurement process utilised a limited method without prior publication, primarily due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The services are designated within the transport industry and will be delivered in Scotland, with a total contract value of £1,000,000. Interested parties were required to adhere to The Public Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2015 during this process.

This opportunity presents substantial potential for businesses, particularly those specialising in transport services, technology solutions for transportation systems, or road condition analysis. Companies with capabilities in data management and analysis, civil engineering, or those experienced in delivering similar service contracts would be well-positioned to compete in future tenders. As the procurement process highlighted the necessity of continuity during the pandemic, firms demonstrating resilience and adaptability could particularly thrive in this evolving landscape.
