WDC has been exploring the implementation of a RPA solution to automate appropriate processes and deliver savings to increase efficiency. RPA is an emerging form of business process automation technology based on the notion of software robots or artificial intelligence (AI)/ virtual workers. Using this technology, computer software is configured to allow virtual workers emulate and integrate the actions of a human interacting within digital systems to execute a business process. RPA virtual workers are capable of undertaking many repetitive actions and simple decision-making actions currently being done by staff that an be doing other value added work. RPA can deliver efficiencies in process areas where manual tasks are based on rules, or where systems are incompatible with each other to create an interface, can digitally interface between them. The contract award is for the purchase of the consultancy to implement the RPA software and build the processes to be automated having been undertaken via a G-Cloud call off process

Options: The contract may required additional scope and or time to fully implement the required solution for the council, and as such may increase in price based on the established G-Cloud rate card
