## Summary

The procurement process is led by West Lothian Council, which is seeking to award contracts for "Specialist Care and Support Services for Adults" as part of its service provision in the care industry. This initiative is being undertaken in response to the ongoing challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The procurement method utilised is an open procedure, and the process encompasses three lots, with a specific emphasis on providing services for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. The contracts have a combined estimated value of approximately £27.4 million, with contract sign-off completed on 3rd July 2020. The contracting authority is located at West Lothian Civic Centre, Livingston, EH54 6FF.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in care and support services, particularly those operating within the health and social care sectors. Suppliers interested in this contract should be prepared to offer specialist assistance to vulnerable adults, with a focus on maintaining independence and delivering high-quality care. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in providing such services are particularly well-suited to compete, as the procurement directly engages existing framework providers, making it essential for participants to demonstrate their capabilities in delivering effective support during ongoing critical health challenges.

## Notice

A direct award for Specialist Care and Support Services for Adults to continue with existing service provision with present framework service providers for the three Lots within the original framework. This is due to the ongoing Covid 19 situation and the unavailability of key staff for both the Council and service providers who would otherwise be available to assist with the tendering process.
