## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is conducting a tender process for the procurement of life sciences research consumables through a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). This procurement falls within the education industry category and is located in Edinburgh, UK. The tender has recently been completed with several suppliers awarded contracts covering call-offs between May 1, 2020, and August 1, 2020. The procurement method used is a selective restricted procedure, with the DPS going live on February 1, 2020, enabling new suppliers to join throughout its duration.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in the supply of life science consumables, such as antibodies, biochemical reagents, and various laboratory supplies. Companies of all sizes, particularly those classified as small to medium enterprises (SMEs), would be well-suited to compete, especially given that over half of the bids received were from SMEs. Suppliers can leverage this dynamic system to establish ongoing relationships with a prominent educational institution, thereby enhancing their market presence and driving growth in the life sciences sector.
