## Summary

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is currently in the award stage for the project titled "10733 Electrical Vehicle Charging Points (Multi Site) for the SPS Phase 2." This initiative aims to enhance electric vehicle infrastructure across various sites, including HMP Barlinnie, HMP Perth, HMP Low Moss, and SPS Central Stores in Fauldhouse, as part of its broader carbon reduction strategy. The procurement method adopted is an open procedure, and the contract value is estimated at £80,000. The contract was signed on 25th July 2022, with the project documentation indicating that the work includes design, supply, and installation of EV charging systems compliant with specific design standards.

This procurement opportunity presents a significant pathway for businesses in the electrical engineering and construction sectors, particularly those specialising in sustainable technologies and electric vehicle infrastructure. Companies adept at providing comprehensive solutions, including design, installation, and civil works related to EV charging stations, will be well-positioned to compete. The focus on low carbon transport initiatives also aligns with the growing market for environmentally friendly solutions, making this an ideal opportunity for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand their service offerings in the public sector.
