## Summary

The Scottish Government is conducting a procurement process for the "Scotland's Baby Box 2022-2027", aimed at providing Managing Agent Services for the supply and distribution of baby boxes and associated support services. This contract, classified under the services category, will take place across all areas of Scotland, with the operational service delivery expected to commence on 1st April 2022 and continue until 31st March 2027, with a possible extension until 31st March 2029. The procurement was initiated under an open procedure and has recently been awarded to APS Group following a competitive bidding process that concluded with the contract signing on 22nd March 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those involved in sectors such as logistics, production, design, and customer service, as it involves sourcing, assembling, and distributing essential items for new parents. Companies that can demonstrate relevant experience, technical capability in service delivery, and strong community engagement strategies will be particularly well-suited to compete in this procurement process. The total budget of £56 million underlines the scale of the contract and the potential for SMEs and established suppliers alike to expand their service offerings through this initiative.
