## Summary

The University of Strathclyde, located in Glasgow, has completed a public procurement process for the provision of an On-Site Occupational Physician Service. This tender falls under the health and education industry categories and was initiated through an open procurement method. The process aimed to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of university employees by appointing a single supplier. The contract was awarded to VITAL OH Ltd, with the contract value set at £160,000 and signed on 30th July 2020. The clinic services are to be delivered at the Occupational Health Services within the university's Livingstone Tower for a minimum of 200 hours per annum.

This tender presents opportunities for SMEs within the health services sector, particularly those specialising in occupational health and medical services. Businesses with expertise in health surveillance, workplace assessments, and employee wellness programmes would be well-suited to compete in similar procurement processes. The focus on improving employee attendance and health provides a route for growth and collaboration with institutions such as universities, which are increasingly prioritising employee well-being.
