However, this has developed significantly and is now split into 3 main sections which are as follows: - The Powderbed Unit; proposed timber framed unit with services to house Powderbed equipment - The Mechanical Pit; proposed concrete pit constructed within the existing slab with piles foundations to accommodate a new press - The Office/Warehouse upgrades; proposed refurbishment and upgrade existing offices and service upgrades throughout the footprint of the main workshop area. Although this project will incorporate a specialist design which will require specialist suppliers and sub-contractors, most of the specialist equipment will be ordered by the University directly and installed post contract during the fitout.
