## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is seeking to procure services related to the NCA20953 CTLGH Sequencing project, which focuses on delivering accurate genomic variant calls from low-pass sequencing of farm animals. The procurement process is currently complete, following an open procedure designed to encourage competition among suppliers. The award notice was issued on 19 October 2020, and the contract amount is valued at USD 139,500. The services are required to be delivered to the Roslin Institute located at the Easter Bush Campus in Midlothian, UK.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the biotechnology and agricultural technology sectors, particularly for those with capabilities in genomic sequencing and data analysis. Companies that specialise in innovative genetic testing methods, especially those transitioning their technologies from human applications to agriculture, may find this project aligns closely with their offerings. Given the unique nature of Gencove's technology, enterprises that can develop cost-effective and reliable genomic analysis solutions will be positioned to compete effectively for similar projects in the future.

## Notice

Supplier is a technology company that delivers cost-efficient and highly accurate variant calls across the whole genome from low-pass sequencing. They have developed a unique cloud based imputation and analysis software that transforms very low-coverage sequencing reads into over 99% accurate variant calls across the whole genome. For the purpose of our projects they have brokered a low-pass sequencing provision with one of their sequencing partners to generate data on our 4,500 chickens. They will develop a bespoke haplotype-imputation library from our existing high depth sequence data and will return highly accurate variant calls based on the low-pass sequencing.
