## Summary

The University of Strathclyde, located at 40 George Street, Glasgow, has initiated a procurement process for the supply, delivery, and commissioning of a de-powdering unit, primarily relevant to the education sector. The procurement method utilised is an open procedure, and the tender is currently in the award stage following its completion status, with the contract awarded on 16 December 2020. The total contract value is £73,165, and interested suppliers were invited to submit bids electronically until the deadline of 6 November 2020.

This tender presents significant opportunities for suppliers, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in manufacturing equipment for the educational and additive manufacturing sectors. Businesses with expertise in providing de-powdering solutions, particularly those capable of handling fine metal powders and ensuring safety with reactive materials, would be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, companies that can demonstrate relevant experience and meet the financial and insurance criteria are likely to benefit from this procurement opportunity.
