## Summary

Scottish Enterprise is seeking a supplier for the "Community Co-operative Programme Delivery Framework" as part of its commitment to supporting growth through community-based business models. This procurement, currently in the Award stage, involves a framework agreement intended for a single supplier to deliver a range of advisory services aimed at community groups, particularly around cooperative models, legal structures, and governance. The contract has a total value of £48,000 and was signed on 8 December 2020. The delivery of these services will be focused in Glasgow, with related activities expected to commence in November 2020 and span until March 2022, with an option for extension until March 2023.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to engage in the growing sector of community co-operatives. Companies with expertise in cooperative development, community engagement, and local governance would be particularly well-suited to bid for this framework. The successful supplier will play a critical role in fostering community-owned business models that yield positive local impacts, thus paving the way for future contracts and collaborations in this socially responsible sector.

A CONTRACT HAS BEEN AWARDED - Original text read as follows: Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) is the arm of Scotland's enterprise agencies that supports company growth through collaborative and inclusive business models. One of CDS's activity strands is to support the development of the community co-operative model. Community owned businesses are businesses which trade primarily for the benefit of their community: they are controlled by the community themselves, they have open and voluntary membership and encourage people to get involved - either by becoming a member, or by volunteering time or getting involved in another way. They are businesses which are accountable to their community and the profits they generate deliver positive local impact. In order to support this element of their remit, CDS wish to put in place a framework with one supplier organisation, that enables access to support activities such as awareness raising (attendance at events, workshop delivery, training, etc), client-facing support (frontline advisory) and advice and support to other organisations (around policy matters, template documentation, etc

Renewal: The original Framework Agreement will be in place until 31 March 2022, thereafter Scottish Enterprise will have the option to extend for a further 12 month period to 31 March 2023.
