## Summary

Stirling Council is seeking providers for the "SC1920-0017 Therapeutic Services framework" aimed at delivering therapeutic support for vulnerable children and young people in the Stirling area. This open tender process is complete, with an awarded contract value of £520,000, signed on 1st October 2020. The services will include various therapeutic approaches such as play therapy, art therapy, and music therapy, tailored to assist children who are experiencing emotional distress and may not qualify for formal counselling. The procurement was initiated to ensure a broad range of therapeutic services are available in a timely manner.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in therapeutic and mental health services to expand their reach within the region. Providers of diverse therapeutic practices, including play therapy, art therapy, and specialised services for children with emotional distress or trauma, would be particularly well-positioned to compete. By engaging with this framework, businesses can contribute positively to the welfare of vulnerable children while also growing their presence in the public sector health services market.

## Notice

To provide therapeutic support for some of our more vulnerable children and young people who present with a range of needs and a level of emotional distress that could be met at an earlier stage of intervention i.e. prior to CAMHS, and where formal counselling through schools would not be an appropriate intervention.
