SNBTS are producing convalescent plasma donations for use in a clinical trial for the treatment of patients hospitalised with COVID 19. The Euroimmun SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELISA was identified, after extensive research early in the pandemic by Public Health England and other UK Health bodies, as the antibody test kit which must be used for screening donors for evidence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. The Euroimmun SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELISA is being used UK wide for screening potential convalescent plasma donors.

Options: There will be an on-going requirement for the purchase of the test for as long as there is a requirement for convalescent plasma during the pandemic.
