## Summary

The procurement process titled "Award of Mini Competition - Purchase & Refurbishment of Communal Bins" is initiated by The City of Edinburgh Council, located in Edinburgh, and falls under the goods category, specifically focusing on waste and rubbish containers and bins. The tender process commenced on 22 March 2021 and is set to conclude on 21 March 2023, with options for extension for up to two additional 12-month periods. This multi-lot contract involves a mini-competition for suppliers listed in the relevant SXL Framework for Recycle and Refuse Containers, with a total value of £3,000,000 aimed at enhancing communal waste and recycling facilities.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses within the waste management and environmental services sector, particularly those that specialise in the manufacturing or refurbishment of waste containers and related services. Suppliers who are experts in communal bin supply, refurbishment, or those providing related spare parts would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Participation in such public procurement can foster long-term growth and collaboration with local authorities, potentially leading to further contracts beyond the initial scope.
