BT have confirmed that there will be a short transition period beyond the 31 December to allow for a managed migration for the replacement service. The Authority requires a replacement service to be in place prior to the switch-off of the FeatureNet service to ensure continuity of telephony across affected locations which include hospitals and acute care facilities (theatres, accident & emergency, outpatients and wards). In addition, the Hospitals cater for Palliative care and elderly patients as well as providing a midwife led midwifery service and a multi-purpose Day Hospital.
