The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS), Welsh Blood Service (WBS), Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service (NIBTS) and Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) requires Apheresis Collection Systems providing the Authorities with systems to allow the collection of a single, double or triple adult therapeutic dose of platelets from one donor. The system must include all elements required, equipment, consumables, maintenance, training. Collection targets by Authority: SNBTS Therapeutic doses expected per annum nationally - 15,244 IBTS Therapeutic doses expected per annum nationally - 19,500 WBS Therapeutic doses expected per annum nationally - 5,500 NIBTS Therapeutic doses expected per annum nationally - 10,000

Renewal: The Contract period shall be for an initial period of 7 years from the date of commencement of the Contract. The Authorities shall be entitled, at its option, to continue the period of the Contract for three (3) twelve (12) month extension periods.
