## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is initiating a procurement process titled "Temporary Accommodation & Associated Services Flexible Purchasing System," aimed at establishing a long-term flexible purchasing system for temporary accommodation to meet the needs of the community. This procurement is categorized as a service and is located in Edinburgh, UK. The procurement method used is a limited procedure, specifically an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The tender document indicates that the purchasing system is expected to open for applications until 1st July 2021, with an established budget of £430,000,000. Interested providers are encouraged to attend a training session on 9th June 2021 to understand how to use the PCS-Tender online portal for engaging in this process.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses, particularly those in the accommodation and housing support sectors. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) offering various types of temporary housing solutions—including private renting, supported lodgings, guest houses, and associated support services—will benefit from this flexible purchasing system. Providers that can tailor their offerings to meet the varied needs of residents, particularly in areas like emergency accommodation and residential support, are well-suited to thrive in this competitive landscape. As the City Council seeks to increase its capacity for temporary accommodation, businesses that are proactive in their engagement and able to demonstrate quality services will have a significant advantage.
