## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council's Business Growth and Inclusion department is initiating the procurement process for the "Redundancy Support Grants" under the procurement method of tender. The aim is to allocate up to £160,000 over the grant programme's lifetime, with applications due by noon on 22nd February 2021. The grants will support services aimed at individuals facing redundancy due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and applications should refer to the Strategic Skills Pipeline. The process is currently in the planning stage, with the communication of future notices expected shortly.

This grant programme presents significant opportunities for businesses capable of providing employability support services. Organisations focusing on reskilling, job retention, and employment transition are particularly well-suited to compete for these grants. With the potential to receive up to £75,000 per distinct project, businesses can enhance their service offerings while contributing to economic recovery in Edinburgh. Companies are encouraged to tailor their proposals to address the specific needs highlighted in the procurement documents, ensuring alignment with the strategic priorities of the City of Edinburgh Council.
