## Summary

The Scottish Prison Service has completed the procurement process titled "01723 Provision of Gym Equipment to SPS," aimed at sourcing physical education and gym equipment to be used within its facilities. This procurement, classified under the goods category, utilised an open procedure and was structured into three lots: Cardiovascular, Cycling, and Resistance, each with specific requirements. The procurement process was initiated on 5th March 2021 and has resulted in an award to Pulse Fitness Ltd. for all three lots, with contracts signed on 14th January 2021. The equipment is to be delivered across various locations within the UK, specifically as part of a three-year contract with an option for a one-year extension.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in fitness equipment, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Companies that manufacture or supply gym equipment, particularly those with expertise in resilient, high-performance machines suitable for sustained use in prisons, will be well-positioned to pursue similar contracts in the future. The structured lots allow for versatile participation, enabling businesses to bid on multiple segments according to their specialisation.
