This initiative, which falls under the services category, aims to address the legislative requirement of providing advocacy services for individuals in West Dunbartonshire with complex health and social care needs. The contract was signed on 26 January 2021, and the buying organisation operates from Dumbarton, UK. The procurement method employed was selective, specifically a restricted procedure, and the process has reached the award stage.

Companies that are independent and can demonstrate experience in providing professional advocacy services are well-suited to compete, particularly those that can work effectively with vulnerable populations. The successful supplier, Lomond & Argyll Advocacy Service, has been recognised for its capability in this field, highlighting the potential for similar organisations to engage in future contracts within the public sector to enhance their service offerings and expand their market presence.
