## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is seeking to procure a single contractor for the "Steam Traps and Ancillary Equipment Servicing & Maintenance" project, which is classified under the services category in the education sector. This procurement is currently in the planning stage and is set to take place in Edinburgh, specifically targeting multiple campus buildings, including laboratories. The tender period is expected to close on 7 May 2021, following which an award period will commence. This procurement will be executed under an open procedure via the Public Contracts Scotland-Tender portal.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in maintenance and servicing of steam systems, particularly those with expertise in laboratory operations and related compliance requirements. Companies with experience in the installation and management of steam and condensate systems, as well as those with the ability to provide reactive maintenance services, will be particularly well-positioned to compete. Smaller enterprises, leveraging appropriate qualifications and experience, can also seize this opportunity to grow within the public sector service market.
