## Summary

The University of Strathclyde has awarded a contract for the supply, delivery, and commissioning of isolation equipment, aimed at enhancing their Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CMAC) research capabilities. This procurement, classified under the goods category within the education industry, is located in Glasgow, UK. The tender was conducted through an open procedure, with the contract signed on 15 March 2021, and a total value of £52,740. The buyer, represented by Jemma Wylie, is looking to integrate new filtration and isolation platforms within the existing world-class facilities at the Technology and Innovation Centre, which are critical to ongoing and future projects.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in advanced manufacturing technologies, particularly those focused on filtration and isolation equipment. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with innovative solutions that can demonstrate superior performance and integration capabilities would be well-positioned to compete. The requirement for robust, user-friendly equipment that can handle a variety of particles will appeal to companies with expertise in engineering and manufacturing tailored technological advancements. Furthermore, firms interested in forming industrial partnerships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to support academic research could find significant growth potential through this contract.

## Notice

To support ongoing and future projects, Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CMAC) Future Manufacturing Research Hub has procured an additional filtration/isolation platform to operate in our existing world class facilities in the Technology and Innovation Centre at Strathclyde. This will sit alongside CMAC's existing microfactory research testbeds which are key pillars in our overall pharmaceutical processing capability, providing an expansive and comprehensive array of operations, to aid and support ongoing manufacturing research, the development of specialised filtration/isolation activities and processes, and support industrial partnerships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 (industrial) partners.
