There will also be a formal agenda programme, where you can hear from a range of expert speakers, ask live questions and receive answers. The Supplier Development Programme, in partnership with East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire and South Ayrshire councils, has scheduled this pan-Ayrshire annual event in an alternative format, as a live, virtual online event, which aims to engage suppliers in open and connected procurement across the public sector and support efforts towards economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis whilst complying with on-going restrictions on face-to-face gatherings in Scotland. This year's Ayrshire Meet the Buyer event aims to help local businesses understand the Community Wealth Building strategy, and find out what contract opportunities are available both within the three councils and further afield, across a range of sectors. Participants will explore how to do business with public sector buyers and gain an operational understanding of how to become part of supply chains. All suppliers are welcome. You can join the conversation on social media by using the #AyrshireMeetTheBuyer and #PowerOfSDP hashtags.
