## Summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is undertaking the tender for the "Housing First Flexible Support" project in the Lower Nithsdale area of Dumfries & Galloway, aiming to enhance support services for individuals facing homelessness with complex needs. This open procurement process is currently in the Award stage, with the contract signed on 11 May 2021, valued at £279,983. The service is scheduled to commence on 1 August 2021 for a period of two years, focusing on relationship-based, person-led support to mitigate repeat homelessness.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in social services, particularly those experienced in providing support to vulnerable populations or managing housing initiatives. Firms with a proven track record in similar projects, particularly those registered with the Care Inspectorate as support providers, will find this tender well-suited for their capabilities, thereby positioning themselves for growth in the social services sector.

## Notice

The Housing First Flexible Support commission aims to provide a high-quality, pilot housing first support service project to individuals who have been provided with a permanent tenancy through Housing First Programme within the Lower Nithsdale area of Dumfries & Galloway. The aim of the service will be to reduce repeat homelessness for a small number of service users who have multiple complex needs and struggle to maintain temporary or permanent accommodation. The support model will be first and foremost a model of support that is relationship based, unconditional and 'portable', and crucially, 'person-led, not system-led': flexing to deliver what people want or need and not what processes demand.

### Lot Information

The service will be delivered from 1st August 2021 for a period of 2 years. Full description and service specification can be viewed in the Invitation to Tender document.

Renewal: Pilot project is for a period of 2 year and will be subject to review and renewal.
