## Summary

North Ayrshire Council has recently completed a procurement process for the provision of reuse, recycling, and recovery services for bulky waste materials. The procurement took place in Irvine, UK, as part of the council's efforts to enhance waste management services. This tender was advertised under an open procedure and was awarded to LOWMAC ALLOYS following a competitive bidding process. The contract is valued at £6,210,000 and is active, set to commence after an implementation period and lasting for two years with an option to extend for up to 36 months, depending on budget and performance. The deadline for bids was on 26th April 2021, coinciding with the expiry of the previous contract.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses involved in waste management, recycling, and environmental services. Companies with capabilities in processing bulky waste and those interested in partnerships that facilitate sustainable waste solutions will find potential for collaboration and service provision. Given the contracts' requirements, businesses that demonstrate innovative recycling methods and compliance with environmental standards will be well-positioned to compete effectively in future tenders related to waste management services.
