## Summary

The procurement process involves the Scottish Government, specifically Marine Scotland, for the title "Award of Crown Commercial Services – G-Cloud 12 – Framework Ref: RM1557.12 – MFF Amendments." This initiative is categorised under the services industry, with its activities based in Scotland. The procurement stage has reached the award phase, with the tender period running from 10th February 2021 to 9th July 2021, and the contract was signed on 20th April 2021. The total awarded value for this contract is £22,439.45, and it involves software-related services.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses engaged in software-related services, particularly in the context of public grants and compliance upgrades. Companies specialising in software development, grant management systems, or IT consultancy that can navigate governmental objectives and provide tailored solutions would be well-suited to compete. Given the involved parties and the nature of the work, local suppliers within Scotland and those familiar with public sector requirements are encouraged to explore similar contracts for potential growth and partnership opportunities.

## Notice

Marine Scotland made the decision to not continue with MMO and the UK government with the upgraded version of MFF - FaSS for 2021/2022. This was due to the limited timeline available to Scotland and the low benefit, high effort demand. Therefore it was then agreed to continue the use of the MFF system for Grant Application process for Marine Scotland for the Financial year 2021/22 only. However, new governmental objectives and outcomes have since been released that future grants applications will need to be reviewed against. Steps have been taken internally to work through this comparison manually offline. To continue the use of the MFF system, specific areas will need to be updated to remain compliant, legally and objectively. Additionally, a complete upgrade of MFF into the new MFS objectives is currently unavailable due to the scale of changes required and the restricted timeline. The required changes are minimal as they are compliance only changes.
